I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

Hi... I have no bangs and I want to get side bangs... possibly I'd cut them myself. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would want the bangs to cover my right eye... I want them 'swoopy'... like emo bangs. I made a picture of how I would want my bangs to look. The link is: http://s115.photobucket.com/albums/n311/... And I erased the faces for privacy reasons. The photos I numbered '1' is primarily the way I would want my bangs to look... and number '2' I would still be open minded for. So I would like suggestions on how to make my bangs like this... by myself. Not with a hair stylist.

Or if I did go to a hair stylist, how much (about) would it cost to only get bangs? Not a full haircut. And please, don't say 'don't get bangs they suck ***' because I don't go around trashing your questions. (And my hair is a lighter shade of brown, no highlights. It's a natural color... I don't plan on coloring my hair.)

go to a hairstylist. you dont want to mess up your hair!! if you are only getting bangs a lot of salons do that for really cheap!!

grab the chunk of hair you want to use as your bangs and part it so it is over your right eye. Hold the bottom with your two fingers, but hold it at an angle with your fingers pointing downwards. Take scissors and cut along the fingers.

Like the other people are saying, if you just want bangs, the stylist isn't going to charge you much. So a 'lil money would be worth it, as opposed to doing it yourself and taking the risk of messing it up.

i recommend a hair stylist and probably 10 to 15 dollars because if you do it yourself if you cut them wrong then you would have to wait a long time for them to grow back.
