I need to fix my hair, i did a Redken show...?

So i just did a show for Redken 5th avenue, and they wanted my hair to be red.

First they had to use pre-art on it, then they dyed it, but they didnt like the color, so they lightened it [i think with bleach], and then filled it and then dyed it again.

This was all in just 1 and a half days.

The hair closest to my scalp is a nice red color but then as it gets closer to my ends, it gets lighter.

My question is, when they lightened my hair, it was very orangey blonde at the ends of my hair,

Red fades the fastest, so i am very worried that if i wash it, it is going to turn the color it was after they bleached it.

Will it turn that color?

I have an appointment this saturday with a very good stylist, but i wont leave the house until then if it fades into that bleachy color.

Also they DESTROYED my hair! Its sooo frizzy and hard to manage now. I need to get some hair cut off but i want to keep as much length as possible, what could i do?

I need to fix my hair, i did a Redken show...?

if you ever go to a hair show you will know that some of the stage work they do is pretty out there. so you kind of signed up for that one. but your hair should not fade that fast and go all the way back to that orange blonde especially if they filled the hair prior to color the second go round. your stylist will be able to help you in a few days but until then use color extend by redken of course because it is formulated to hold their color i the hair.

also do some coditioning treatments like extreme deep fuel by redken and i highly recommend anti snap which is a protein which will help repair what has been taken out of your hair.

I need to fix my hair, i did a Redken show...?

Wow! I think they should have to pay to get your hair fixed. you will need conditioning treatments

I need to fix my hair, i did a Redken show...?

Say no the next time they ask you to be in a show. They don't care what they do to your hair and don't fix it after they fry it and dye it.

How can I get long hair like this?

I've been growing my hair out for a few months, and I know I need to grow it a bit longer, but when it is ready, how can I get my hair styled like this?

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3171/...

What do I tell the hair stylist?

Also, what kind of holding gels will I need? Is something like this easy to style?

Shoulder length, straight, no frizz, clean cut, not puffy. Needs to look good in a suit for work everyday. Thanks for any comments!

How can I get long hair like this?

im a guy and want that stayle my hairs about down to my mouth pretty much that length bring that photo to a proffessional stylist/hairdresser and they will shows you all you need to know i.e gel brush etc

How can I get long hair like this?

first of all, that is really ugly.

but if you seriously want to look that way then all you need to do is get some light holding wax to run through damp hair.

then comb it all back and let it dry.

then ruffle it a little bit so it doesn't look crispy or hard, and you should be good to go.

How can I get long hair like this?

to be quite honest, im not sure how you would get it styled like that. but good decision to grow your hair out. i also decided to do that about 2 and a half years ago and its still growing to this day. i've never really had my hair styled, so i couldn't tell you anything about that, but i can tell that if you wash and brush it EVERYDAY then you should be all set. i don't put gel, hair spray or anything else in my hair and it still looks pretty good. i would assume, however, that if you absolutely wanted your hair to look just like that, then you could take that picture you got to the hair salon/place and then can do their best to help you, and that includes telling you what to put and what not to put in. i hope my information has been helpful, and best of luck in your hair growing adventures.

How can I get long hair like this?

dont get hair like that...

not very nice style...

How can I get long hair like this?

Well, there are many many pills. I know this shampoo and conditioner that can grow your hair within a week. It's called

Mane%26amp;Tail. I know it sounds like a horse shampoo it is but it's used for humans to it doesn't damage your hair trust me!!

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

I have a heart shaped face and medium brown hair that is to my middle back and has a one year old perm. I have a hair appointment friday to get my hair cut and colored. And I have NO idea what I want, or what would look good on me. Is it ok to walk into the salon and tell the stylist to do whatever they feel is stylish and cute?

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

Definatly; a good salon stylist will work with you and show you and suggest appropriate stlyes that best suit your face and color.

Alot of salons carry magazines and stlye books so you can browse through too. Dont feel embarassed to take in pictures of cuts or colors that you like. Dont make the results unrealistic they arent going to look exactly the same but that way you can help him/her better understand your stlye and what you are looking for in a good haircut. IF you go in there and the stylist doesnt seem interested or doesnt seem helpful in understanding what look you are tryinh to achiveve then go somewhere else. They arent worth your $$ or time. A real stlyist cares what you will look like and should tell you if the cut you are thinking about would look bad or not!

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

they may not let you do that. i'm not sure. try something new.

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

I would ask the stylist what she thought.

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

I've tried this and they never do, they will push me into telling them what I want. Hopefully your stylist will be confident enough to listen to you and have at your hair. Tell her you want something sylish and flattering for your face shape, skin tone, eye color, etc. Good Luck.

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

Go to the website below...you'll get color and styling ideas there, and also they have a 'try it on studio' where you can download a pic of yourself and see what various styles/colors would look like on you.

http://www.clairol.com

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

I always ask my stylist, to do whatever they feel is stylish and cute. lol.

I get an excellent hair color and style...

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

If you trust your stylist and she knows what she's doing, then it seems like a pretty good idea.

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

Don't take this the wrong way, but unless you are a grandmother, please ditch the perm. Natural is always better. Shoulder length hair and a natural color brown is always in style. I'd go in with SOME idea... although I have told my stylist who I knew and trusted (and was world-known and quite expensive) to "do whatever" one time and it was awesome... but be sure you really mean that. I'd go in with pictures of some idea and at least some standards - like no shorter than my chin, only dark colors, no crazy highlights, layers but no bangs..

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

ABSOLUTELY! They should have some ideas as to what will look best on you. If they don't...you need to find a new stylist. You should however have your own set of boundries....colors you personally don't like, if you prefer bangs/no bangs, lengths you prefer, etc. Always give them boundries or else you could end up with anything! Also, a tip I've been given in the past is to look at fashion magazines instead of "hair" magazines. The fashion magazines give a representation of what is "in" now.

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

Depends on the stylist,... How much are you paying for the style %26amp; cut?

If you're paying quite a lot, %26amp; the Stylist has been in the business for a while (was she/he recommended by friends or co-workers?) then I guess it is okay, to just let the stylist have a free attitude at giving your something creative.

Now if the stylist has only been syling for about a year, I would not trust this person. You should try to get someone that has been in the business for at least four years. One year Virgins can be over enthusiastic and can lose control of trying too hard to be creative.

I learned that the hard way, a few times.

Good luck %26amp; cheers!!!

Hair appointment..is it ok.....?

yes... it's ok but please keep these things in mind :)

let your stylist know if you are only willing to spend a limited amount of money... she may want to cut it all off, chemically straighten it, or do all kinds of expensive things to it just because you told her to do whatever...

also let her know what your regular styling regimen is... if you are just a wash and wear kind of girl you won't want her doing some cut and style to you where you have to get up and work with it for an hour or two just to make it look halfway decent :) and last but not least... no tears in the end if you don't like what she did! that's the worst for a stylist when people come in and say "i have no ideas, just do something new and fun" and then they end up walking out of the salon after spending lots of money on something they hate with tears in their eyes, more or less hating the stylist that did this to them... and then never coming back and telling all their friends about their horrible experience at the salon they had went to... it hurts the stylist salon and clientele... please keep this in mind. good luck on friday! i hope this helps you :)

How bad will it really be? (getting my hair dyed soon...needs stripping)?

Okay I'm getting my hair done for christmas, and I love these two girls hair colors.

1. Milla

http://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d19/bl...

2. Hayley

http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi...

I've always wanted Hayley's hair color! its so unique and cute.

but I've grown to really like Milla's hair color too...but my hair stylist said it needs to be stripped and it causes a lot of damage..im only paying 108$ for color cut and deep conditioning..and thats not bad at all! im going to Mia %26amp; Maxx and their very good, (i dont mean to sound corny but my stylist it black and i really trust black people with my hair for some reason lol) Well anyway, so what am i getting into? how damaging will it be? she seems to know what shes doing..Thanks!

How bad will it really be? (getting my hair dyed soon...needs stripping)?

stripping your hair then colouring over it is really abd. for one, dont expect to get the exact thing you had in mind. the blonde parts will be an orangy shade. and youll probably still have dark hair mixed in. i honestly wouldnt suggest getting your hair stripped, not just because it may not come out the way you want it, but your hair will become brittle.

How bad will it really be? (getting my hair dyed soon...needs stripping)?

Depending on how well you look after it afterwards it varies. Condition it properly, look after it, and it should be ok. It might be a little dry at first, though.

How bad will it really be? (getting my hair dyed soon...needs stripping)?

I had my hair striped many years ago. My head was a giant scab the next day. It really damages your hair. All the deep conditioning in the world won't make it better, only time will. Why don't you rethink it before you do it.

How bad will it really be? (getting my hair dyed soon...needs stripping)?

It's a little dry the first few days, but after a few showers it gets soft again. It's not that bad at all- and I suggest Hayley's, my friend dyed her short hair that colour-style and it was amazing!

Should I cut it?

I have short hair that i REALLY want long again, but it looks bad because when i got it cut short the stylist cut layers with a razor so its longer in the back than it is in the front. Also it super bushey in the back at the bottom. So should i cut it so its more one leangth or just wait?

Should I cut it?

this is a ducktail http://www.rockabilly-clothing.com/index... lol but....i think you should wait. the longness in the back isnt very noticable, to me anywaysss

Should I cut it?

since they're in layers, you could ask your hair cutter to cut the longest layer to make it as short as the shortest one, so that they all grow out evenly.

Growing out hair?

I had my hair cut really short, and now i'm trying to grow it to my shoulders. Any tips for the "in between" stages? It is naturally curly and my curls are starting to show and stick out and it is driving me nuts...other than washing it everyday (which my stylist said you aren't supposed to do because it takes out the nutrients in your hair which your hair needs) are there any products or tips that you can recommend that won't make my hair feel gunky or sticky after a long day? Thanks!!

Growing out hair?

Use coconut oil, its a healthy moisturizer for your hair and in three months, your hair should be the lenth you want and tehn afterwards,, style it! You can get coconut oil online or at an Indian community or a local health store. Also, trim every 6 weeks, just a little trim to keep deaad ends off

Growing out hair?

washing it every 2nd day is usually the norm.

The best thing is if you feel its sticky is to buy Dry Shampoo in a can, and spray it on your hiar when it doesnt feel nice.

they can be boguht in most chemists.

as for inbetween stages, just keep your hair practical and neat. Pletny of hair clips!

Growing out hair?

Somebody have given you a wrong message. In India in the state of kerala almost all the ladies have a head bath and wash their hair everyday and do you know that they have the best hair growth and the best nourished hair . The nutrients are supposed to be inside the scalp and blood and not outside. If you do not wash the hair regularly it will be filled up by dust and bacteria leading to dandruff and skin diseases. Eat plenty of green vegetables, fruits and regularly wash your head and apply very lightly only boiled and cooled coconut oil thats all you will grow a perfect and long hair.

Growing out hair?

Truth is, it doesn't matter how many times you wash your hair (i wash mine twice most days) as long as it suits your hair type... But you've gotta condition. If you have oily hair feel free to wash it til its norm. :) It'll be all good... I personally think clips are daggy, but if you think they're hot some people can look super-cute with them in. BTW, i'm very jealous of your curly hair... I'm dead straight

Growing out hair?

I went through that once, who hasn't. Try damping your hair down and cutting the legs off a pair of tights put the top of the tights, the panty part, on your head at night it will take the poof out of it. Also when it gets a little bit longer pull the front up, alla Jennifer Anniston and it takes some of the weight off the sides, you can then straighten what is left on the sides.

Growing out hair?

massage ur scalp every night

Anyone able to help a guy growing out his hair?

I'm extremely inept to all aspects of hair styling and management. Ive tired to grow out my hair several times back in high school but it looked terrible.

Since then (im 19 with 20 coming soon) I have just went with the basic short on the sides with a little more on the top. I havent had a hair cut in about 3 months to let it grow out, but it doesn't look very appealing and its getting to the point where i cant style it very well at all.

My hair consistency is rather thick and wavy in some areas and not so wavy in other areas.

if you were in my shoes and wanted to keep growing out your hair for a shaggy look what you propose i say or do next time i visit a stylist?

Anyone able to help a guy growing out his hair?

My first question is do you use styling product? If your hair is thick and wavy, it is hard to get it to look good unless you use some kind of product to tame down the wave, and then the thickness is no help to that either. My next question is what kind of texture is your hair? Coarse, fine, normal? It also depends on this when you are growing out your hair. All of these can make a difference when growing your hair out!

Anyone able to help a guy growing out his hair?

Tell them up front that you want to grow your hair back out but you want it styled so you look decent in the mean time. Keep going back to that same stylist till it has grown out where you want it to be.

Anyone able to help a guy growing out his hair?

if your hair is getting to the point where it looks mess ythen go to a stylist yeh - if you want to be abel to style it then invest in waxy type gel products and some straighteners. get the stylest to trim the ends to help growth and thin out the rest if your tht desperate to use product.... best advice i can give im afraid! I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

Earlier this week I got my hair cut for a pretty decent price, and the job was well-done. However, when it came time for me to pay, an additional charge (twenty dollars) was added for shampoo and a blow-dry. Other salons I have been to have included this in the haircut price. What bothers me most is that the person cutting my hair made no mention that it would cost more. In fact, they mentioned that shampooing the hair would allow them to do a better job. My hair is straight and fine so the blow-dry was completely unnecessary.

Now, I am kind of shy when it comes to things, but I did stick up for myself and try to fight what had happened. I mentioned that there was no mention of additional cost and that the stylist was not clear enough. Unfortunately, it got me nowhere and I was stuck paying the extra money for something I did not even want.

I am frustrated by this. Is it worth calling and complaining? Is there any chance at all of getting a refund, or was I just stupid for assuming?

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

If it's a national chain, call the shop, ask to talk to the manager. Tell them your complaint and let them know it would be in their best interest to post all costs and alert their customers of the additional charge.

If you don't get anywhere with that (the manager is the one who did it). Call regional manager and send an email with your outrage. If you get no response or less than desired response, email Corporate and let them know what you have done and how this issue got this far.

If still no resolution, contact the Better Business Burearu in your area and lodge a complaint against this company and give the reason of hidden costs...nickel and diming ya.

Usually you can do this online.

If the shop was local, take it to the owner...if no resolution, choose a different shop and then let all your friends and family know about your issues there and to beware or avoid the shop all together. Word of mouth is a killer.

Regardless of your shy nature, in the future if you feel cheated or surprised by last second charges, complain. Make sure you talk to the manager and do not argue with the people you deal with.

Do not leave until you get resolution or a number to talk to someone who can give you resolution. If resolution is not possible, do not do business with that company again if it can be avoided.

Good Luck!

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

Complain most vehmently and don't go back if they don't do something about it.

I really detest the way a lot of people do business.

IT IS NOT TOO LATE and it makes NO difference that you "didn't do there" if you're talking to the owner of the establishment. Don't listen to the people saying otherwise. Call her today, give them one chance and then move on.

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

find a different shop

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

you should have done more complaining after she done your hair.. deal with it.

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

I would have made a fuss right then and there. I would have asked to speak to the manager, as well.

Now it's a bit late to do anything. You could call them up if it makes you feel better, but you probably wont get anything back. Talk to the manager about how you were treated. Maybe even an apology might make you feel better.

I hate getting ripped-off too.

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

I had this happen before, years ago. You can try complaining to the salon, but it's likely that if they're not being forthright about their pricing, they're not going to give you a refund. You're not being stupid. I felt ripped of too. If there isn't any clear indication (signs, etc), and it wasn't mentioned to you, maybe report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

Just treat it as a lesson learned. Next time, before they shampoo your hair, just tell them you just shampooed your hair before you left your house and you dont need to blowdry/style it. Just ask for a haircut next time.

And, find another hair salon.

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

change salons, its happened to me,. thats it

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

You are not stupid but it's very important to make sure you understand the charges for a service...before...you get started.

Make sure everything is explained and you understand before you allow anyone to do work for you. That includes haircuts, gardening...whatever....don't be afraid to keep asking until you understand .

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

when i go to the hairdresser's, i know that a blow wave will cost me an extra $20, so i ask them to just dry my hair off, as they won't want you walking out of the salon with wet hair! with a blow wave, the stylist's creativity is being utilised, hence the charge. it's a service they are providing! this must be a good salon, as they charge separately for each service. a salon that does all for one price is a no frills place, check that these hairdressers really are qualified!

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

Definately follow it up! Call and talk to the manager. When quoted the price the hairdresser should have said, 'and if you want shampoo and blow dry it's $20 on top of that.'

I complained to a hair salon because when they went to wash out my colour the water was cold. The other hair dresser had used up ALL the hot water on her client. So it was winter, and they rinsed out my hair with freezing water. I spoke to the Manager and she gave me $25 off the price.

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

If the salon advertised %26gt; Haircut $20

it does Not indicate that shampoo and blow dry is included.

It's called 'Advertising'

Always clarify beforehand what it means.

You could try and talk to the manager or owner of the shop. And if you are good in debating and convincing, you can get an extra hair cut or shampoo or blow dry. But that would be totally up to his discretion.

Good luck :)

(~*..*~)

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

If it clearly lists the prices on something when you walk in, then maybe they have a point. If you didn't want them to wash and blow dry you should have probably said something. Salons usually do nothing for free ;)

However, if they pushed you into it, regardless, I would call the place and complain that the stylist was not completely clear on the charges.

Next time, though, I wouldn't leave the salon until it was settled. Usually when you do leave, and come back complaining they deny everything. Until they get thier money, they're gonna be involved, though. I would have just flat refused to pay the additional charge, and left cash for the rest of the cost.

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

when you look at a price it is upt to you as a consumer to determine what it includes. if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. But 20 bucks for shampoo? that as much as i pay for both haircxut and shampoo and blow dry is just prt of styling.

I felt cheated at the hair salon... what do I do now?

I've never heard of a shampoo and blow dry being included in the haircut.

Does anyone know of a haircut that is cut to make your hair curly? It is curled by a type of scissor

stylist uses, if anyone knows what i'm talking about please give me as much info as u can! thanks.

Does anyone know of a haircut that is cut to make your hair curly? It is curled by a type of scissors the?

Honey, is not a scissors, if u have straight hair and u want to make it curly, the best u can do is to get a perm, but always visit an expert first...

Hope this help u!@

Does anyone know of a haircut that is cut to make your hair curly? It is curled by a type of scissors the?

it definitely is not the scissors. if you want your hair to appear more curly though, get your hair layered.

you can get more of a curl at the end and when its not all the same length it can appear more volumeous and less uniform.

Does anyone know of a haircut that is cut to make your hair curly? It is curled by a type of scissors the?

They can make the hair curl at the ends only by cutting it at an angle...is that what you mean? That is the only thing I can think of:)

Does anyone know of a haircut that is cut to make your hair curly? It is curled by a type of scissors the?

I did not take time to see what the other answers were. But there is no way some one can cut your hair and make it curl. The only way its going to happen is if you have natural curl to start with. I don't care if they use curved scissors or not it will not work.

If you want curly hair get a perm by a professional.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hope this helps.

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

A few months ago, I went to a salon get get my red hair cut and have some blond highlights put in. Instead of sitting under a dryer (which would have taken a shorter amount of time), the stylist made me sit in a chair for about 45 minutes while the bleach set "naturally".

I've always had fast-growing hair, and now it appears that some of my hair has thinned out somewhat. 6 months after the haircut, some of the highlights are still there (they normally grow out after 4 months). Is this just a coincidence (male pattern baldness: age 32) or has the bleach damaged some of the hair follicles?

If so, what can be done?

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

Anything in excess will damage

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

I found out a few months later that my hair thinning was not caused by the bleach, but by lymphoma. It was simply a coincidence that it happened after visiting the hair salon. I would advise people who suspect something may be wrong to visit their dermatologist to make sure everything is ok. Report It

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

sure it's toxic and starts decomposing whatever it's sitting on, be careful

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

Could be both.

Bleach does burn and break hair when left on too long.

Possibly burned your scalp too.

Not sure what the "cure" would be aside from using a good-quality deep conditioner.

Call and ask a beauty school or dermatologist for advice.

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

Bleach is pretty damaging no matter what. I'm not sure how long you're supposed to let it set, but I've been getting blonde highlights for years and it has never thinned out my hair.

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

This was 6 months ago? Your hair would have fallen out directly after getting the highlights (like within a day or two) if that were the cause. Also, it would likely come out in chunks rather than just thinning out your hair. And, even if you were to have had your hair fall out from bleach being left on too long, it would grow back... So, I'm thinking pretty sure that it isn't the salon visit that caused the thinning of the hair. Improper diet, stress, male pattern baldness, can all be causes of hair loss.... Maybe try rogaine?

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

yes

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

Same thing happened to me, after I was bleached I itched for a while and lost a lot of hair, it may have just accelerated the process or it could have killed the hair but the bleaching definetly had some effect.

Can hair bleach left on too long cause hair loss?

Could be a little of both. If you are really concerned you could contact a dermatologist. Bleach is sort of caustic and she let you sit for 45 minutes, so I'd say that's the culprit, but whatever is the cause you can deep condition it every week and every time you wash you hair you can condition it. You'll be right as rain in no time.

Should I continue to let her "fix" my hair?

My best friend is also my sister in law and she is a hair stylist. My sister in law has been doing my hair for awhile now and I have not been very happy with the cut and color but most recently very, very disappointed in my color. My husband hates it that I come home upset everytime I get my hair done. My dilema is that I don't want to hurt her feelings, although my feeling are being pushed to the side. Should I continue to let her "fix" my hair or should I go elsewhere? Also, she is always late, if my appointment is at 11:00 I am lucky if she works on me by 12:00. If I stop seeing her what do I say to her if anything at all.

Should I continue to let her "fix" my hair?

Before you change hairdressers, sit down with her and talk to her and tell her how you feel. Dont sound upset, just let her know you arent getting what you want and ask her if she is willing to work in this with you. Tell her your unhappy with the color and cut and you need her to listen to you and give you what you want. If she still cant do it then it means shes not that good at what she does and you have to decide whats more important, your happiness about your hair or the friendship. Hopefully if shes as good a friend to you as you are to her, she will understand that you need to change hairdressers. When you talk to her tell her your friendship means a lot to you but you also want your hair the way you want it.

Should I continue to let her "fix" my hair?

Well just tell her that u found a new place to get ur hair done and u just wanted to try it out and see if it was a good place to go.Or somethin like that.

Should I continue to let her "fix" my hair?

If you are not happy with a service provided to you regardless if it be a relative then you have the right to not accept their services again. If she is a professional stylist then she will be professional enough to listen to your concerns.

If you don't tell her she will never know.

Should I continue to let her "fix" my hair?

You should go elsewhere. You shouldn't worry about her feelings since she is an adult. If you haven't made it clear to her how you wanted your hair, it could be she styled it how she wanted (obviously not your taste). Just go get your hair done, then let her know that you wanted to try something different. Something like "Oh, I had to get my hair done for a party and you weren't available so I went to __ and they did such beautiful work with it. I'm going to miss chatting with you while you do my hair." She might be hurt, but she should get over it quickly if you phrase it right and let her know yourself (not from someone else). Good luck!

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

Hi... I have no bangs and I want to get side bangs... possibly I'd cut them myself. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would want the bangs to cover my right eye... I want them 'swoopy'... like emo bangs. I made a picture of how I would want my bangs to look. The link is: http://s115.photobucket.com/albums/n311/... And I erased the faces for privacy reasons. The photos I numbered '1' is primarily the way I would want my bangs to look... and number '2' I would still be open minded for. So I would like suggestions on how to make my bangs like this... by myself. Not with a hair stylist.

Or if I did go to a hair stylist, how much (about) would it cost to only get bangs? Not a full haircut. And please, don't say 'don't get bangs they suck ***' because I don't go around trashing your questions. (And my hair is a lighter shade of brown, no highlights. It's a natural color... I don't plan on coloring my hair.)

Thanks!

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

i would recommend goin to a hairstylist..it will only cost about $7.00 just to get your bangs cut. by going and getting your bangs done professionally your guarnteed satisfaction!!

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

it's your hair i saw go for it

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

your bangs look fine

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

go to a hairstylist. you dont want to mess up your hair!! if you are only getting bangs a lot of salons do that for really cheap!!

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

grab the chunk of hair you want to use as your bangs and part it so it is over your right eye. Hold the bottom with your two fingers, but hold it at an angle with your fingers pointing downwards. Take scissors and cut along the fingers.

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

Like the other people are saying, if you just want bangs, the stylist isn't going to charge you much. So a 'lil money would be worth it, as opposed to doing it yourself and taking the risk of messing it up.

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

go to a salon. It will usually ranges around $5 to $7. And then you will get what you want.

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

It would be best to have them cut professionally the first time. then you can maintain them more easily yourself.

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

yeah just do it. although just go to a salon so there are no mistakes...

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

i recommend a hair stylist and probably 10 to 15 dollars because if you do it yourself if you cut them wrong then you would have to wait a long time for them to grow back.

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

cut some hair

I'm bangless, and want to cut myself side bangs... any suggestions?

DO NOT CUT THEM YOURSELF! IT'S A TERRIBLE MISTAKE!

What do I tell my stylist for an emo haircut?

I want an "emo" hair cut like the ones below. a side fringe, and some long layers...what do i tell the stylist?

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=6ypsnk5%26amp;...

What do I tell my stylist for an emo haircut?

my hair was liek that (the black hair is the pink bear) i just said heavy layers and side bangs. I have thick hair so she really thinned them out

What do I tell my stylist for an emo haircut?

you might want to bring a picture but just ask her for choppy layers and any colors if you want them, its up to you to back comb it and make it look messy and "fried"

What do I tell my stylist for an emo haircut?

tell them u would like it 2 b black and fringe covering face but bassically it yur own style work it!!

I want to get bangs !!???

i wanted to get bangs not side bangs but front bangs ....but i also want to part it to the side also.! (confused?,,sorry) anyways.. so i wanted my hair stylist to cut it that way but i went to a cheaper hairstylist and she said that you have to have a longer forehead for bangs is that true?? i guess i have a short forehead but not really short..like freaky but its normal ...should i get a 2nd opinion? ireally want to get bangs ..would it work?

aNYONE who does hair could give me ur opinion would be great

I want to get bangs !!???

it doesnt matter...thats stupid, youll look fine in them

I want to get bangs !!???

I think it does matter about your forehead. Now, I can't say if you're forehead is good or not because obviously I've never seen you. I have a good forehead for bangs but my mother does not. You might want to go to another stylist to get a second opinion but she's probably right. Just remember if you try it and you don't like it, hair always grows out.

I want to get bangs !!???

My friend got those in 4th grade, and she hated them!! Her forehead is medium sized. I suggest not to get straight bangs unless you are 3rd grade and under. They make you look to young. You should get side bangs or nothing, or you could also get layering around the face.

About a guy going to hair place... for the first time.?

This question is kind of embarrassing, I guess. lol

Well, I'm 17 years old and I've honestly never gone to the hair place (I don't even know what it's called, I guess I'll call it hair salon, but it sounds kind of womenish, anyways) because my mom just cut it for me whatever (She tries her best but we never agree on the hairstyles).

So... my questions:

-Is there ones just for men? or are they all the same? I see those at the malls and places like that but I don't ever see any guys in there. And yes, I'm looking for a hair stylist, not just like whatever haircut.

-When I go in, what would I expect for them to ask me?

About a guy going to hair place... for the first time.?

-Is there ones just for men? or are they all the same? It's mostly for women and men. Don't be scared its' not that bad.

-When I go in, what would I expect for them to ask me? They'll ask you what you want and your describe it =)

What she said ^ and look at the hair style books and show them. Or bring in a pic.

About a guy going to hair place... for the first time.?

yo i dont get haircuts much lol but when i do i go to sports clips its only for guys and they ask you what you would like to be done

About a guy going to hair place... for the first time.?

if you go to a new hair salon if its ur first time ide have a girl friend go with you (not like a girlfriend girlfriend but a friend thats a girl) go to one at the mall which ever one looks most profesional or ask the gfs opinion of what hair salon she goes to or likes the best they'll probly ask you if u like ur color [ if u get or want it highlighted or not or if u like it or if u want a new base color] and if u like ur style or if u want it completely different thats about it its pretty simple

hope i helped!!!:)

Your mother cuts your hair? No wonder you want to go to a stylist! Almost all salons are unisex nowadays. Take a picture of the style you want and watch the magic happen.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

I pick on her fashion sense because I don't think she HAS ANY! Both dresses she wore along with outfits for the pre wedding stuff were all dreadful. Just because she married a 40 something doesn't mean she has to dress like a Nanna. And her hair??!! She has those wispy bits stuck to her forehead. What was her hair stylist thinking? Cut some bangs god damn it!

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

I can't believe it costs sooo much for such an ugly monstrosity. I think she ruined her career by marrying that top gun

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

i didn't even see it but since u say its lame then it is.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

if you don't like her and don't acre about her why are u wasting ur time talking about her???

besides who really cares?

so what if she amrried tom, get over it!

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

She probably didn't even get to pick it out. I think she is totally under the control of her husband and his religion.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

yep. it sucked.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

How about this- to each their own!

Try to not be so judgemental!

Worry about something that is actually IMPORTANT.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

Just goes to show you: NEVER let a shor Scientologist determine the clothes you wear, just so no one will notice how much shorter than you he is, even when he's wearing stilts.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

i think she looked really good.

try not to judge people so much .. and on their wedding day!

although people are interested in what the bride is wearing, all she cares about is marrying the guy she is in love with.

how would you feel if someone judged the way you would look on your own wedding day?

sorry .. but this is just how i feel about the issue.

and isnt Yahoo!7 Answers a place where you can voice your own opinion?

i dont mind if you have said that about her .. everyone has their own right to say whatever they want ..

so, i personally thought she looked beautiful =]

%26lt;3

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

I actually loved her dress. It was a beautiful dress and she looked great in it. Her hair was simple, but looked great too. She seemed genuinely happy because she had a delicate smile the in every picture. I also liked her other dresses, they were classic. I don't know what you have against her, yes she married a way older man, but that's not reason to criticize her wedding gown. Every woman believes that their wedding gown is beautiful and I think Katie Holmes dresses were beautiful.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

i think she must put more beaded thing on her gown

it's so simple actually very simple

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

I thought the dress was horrible. What the heck was Armani thinking. Toule coming out from the chest. I was expecting something beautiful %26amp; elegant from Armani. Instead we got "Early 80's Barbie" I think it was dreadfull.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

Frankly I don't care what she wore having a baby BEFORE you get married just shouldn't happen . And Tom appars to have turned her away from her family.

Anyone got comments on Katie Holmes' lame wedding dress?

You could not afford that dress.

And for all you HATERS,

her dress was beautiful!

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

Well, my I'm getting kinda bored with my hair and seriously considering bangs, but my friend got acne all over her forehead, and I'm scared that will happen to me. Plus, I'm afraid my hair stylist will cut them too short or the wrong way. I want them no higher than my eyebrows.Plus aren't there lots of kinds? Long, sideswept, blunt...etc. I'd want side sweepy kind on the longer side if I got them. Can anyone share their opinion and pictures of cool bangs that might inspire me, lol?

Best Answer = 10 points!

Thanks!

http://makeover.ivillage.com/makeover/in...

you have to be able to take a full face frontal picture of yourself

upload it to the computor

and save it so you can browse and use it

but this thing is fun! you can find a hairstyle with bangs and see how it looks

pretty realisic!

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

bangs are deff instyle! look in some mags. they have great ideas!

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

it actually all depends on ur look. ur stylist should know the best kind of bangs :] maybe the kind that covers ur forehead would look nice

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

if u r bored with ur hairstyle or have a big forehead you shoul def netly try bangs try side oe long

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

I think sidewept would look cute! It is true that if u get short bangs that don't do anything then u probly will get acne! Or it could have just been ur friend. I think sidewept!

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

Bangs didn't cause me any acne, so it really it depends on your skin. If your hair is wavy/curly then bangs r usually not a great idea. Unless you iron them straight. The safest choise is going with sideswept bangs. its always a nice change :)

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

well if u get acne then its good if u get bangs cuz theyllalways be down covering them and if u dont u can put it to sode

bangs look rlly cute when theyre blowdried and sort of come in a curl and more of a long face that would look rlly cute

i got bangs once and everyone loved them cuz it was somethign different

my firend always has bangs and theyre rlly cute on her

u can do styles with the bangs like blow dry the hair w /bangs or curl up ur hair

theres alot of ways and ask ur hair stylist s/he knows more than we do but go for it and anyway if u dont like it, itll grow bak quickly

get side bangs. I have them and love them. My hair was really long and when I first got my side bangs I wasnt sure about them. but now I love them and couldn't imagine not having them. :)

p.s. I dont think you'll get tons of acne from it. Just wash your face as normal..

I just got bangs about a week ago.

I also got bored with my haircut.. it was just blah, and boring.

After I got them cut.. they were about to my eyebrows

and they looked so horrible on me..

I kinda want them to grow a lot more and be long bangs and where you can part them to whatever side you want and stuff. So im just waiting for mine to grow..

I think you might want to go to hair place and look at some of the books or look around on the net.

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

less bangs will prevent you from getting oily skin and acne. i have sideswept bangs that go to the right and i dont have that problem. but if you do get bangs, sideswept bangs are definitley cuter and are more compatible with different hairstyles. Goodluck!!

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

i brought this pic to get bangs to my stylist

http://web.wireimage.com/images/tnm/1226...

I think it depends on the type of your hair. I have naturally wavy, frizzy hair so they took A LOT of maintaining. sometimes they just stuck straight up or i had flyaways that were so short and annoying, but sometimes I could get them looking great. When they started growing out and I would blow dry them they would stick straight out, it was weird. So I think you should try them, only if you are willing to put more time to style them.

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

You shouldnt get acne unless you already have oily skin, and if that's the case, just be sure to wash your face every night.

Bangs don't look good unless they are straight, but they are very cute! So if you have currly or wavy hair, you could buy a flat iron and just straighten your bangs.

I have had many different bangs, haha, here are some pictures:

just dont get them too short.

you can e-mail me if you have any more questions or want to see some more pics of me with different bangs, trust me, I have had a variety of styles.

my email is: lacey.amanda@yahoo.com

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

just yesterday i took the plunge and got bangs for the first time in like 6 years. i have the side ones and i love them. i was nervous but they turned out great. i don't see why they would make you get acne on your forhead.

this is kinda what mine look like:

http://www.tommy2.net/2006newsgraphics/a...

i'd say go for it. they aren't that drastic and you can hold them back with a headband if you hate them. to get some other good pictures of bangs, think of a celebrity with bangs (jamie lynn spears, nicole richie, vanessa minnillo, ashley tisdale, alexis bledel...) and look at their pictures on imdb. print out some that you like and show them to your stylist so they turn out just how you want them. plus, they open up whole new hairstyles for you.

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

BAngs are fun but the length look and type really does depend on your face and your hair texture. Bangs themselves will not cause acne unless you have really oily hair or skin and if that is the case keep that area clean and not oily especially in the summer.

A multi tiered bang can be nice depending on you your hair and you face shAPE short in the center and longer on the sides. My friend used to do really cool bangs like very vidal sasson longer in the middle and shorter on the edge we called it the flying V and shorther on one side getting longer on the other , with those she has very thick and straight hair and thher bangs were very precise very straight lines and perfectly even. You could do something along the lines of a modified bob or perhaps depending on you interset soemthing reminiscent of the 50' and rockabilly doo truly it is hair an dit will grow bag try something that will work in your lifestyle and not just because it looks good on someone else but it looks fierce on you. Whatever you do have fun

I don't know if I should get bangs :(?

you can tell your hair stylist to make the bangs shorter . please tell me it is the best answer. please.

What should I tell my stylist?

I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow, I want a "scene-type" cut but nothing too crazy, I just want a lot of volume on top and then for it to thin out at the ends. I've told my stylist this before but she is and older woman and didn't quite grasp the concept. What kind of layers create this look?

What should I tell my stylist?

go for the short 3-5 layer hairstyle. so cute and will boost your roots amazingly!

What should I tell my stylist?

i have no clue sorry good luck tho

What should I tell my stylist?

i say the mushroom cut is very cute and its coming back in style

What should I tell my stylist?

Go get a guy stylist he'll no just what to do without having to explain beyond alot of volume ontop and thined at the bottom!

G/L

What should I tell my stylist?

I had a slightly older hairstylist too, she was a freind of my mom's. When she didn't cut my hair in the more modern way I asked, I brought a picture in of exactly what i wanted and she did it perfect.

What to do about my color damaged hair?

Ok....so i had natural beautiful blonde hair....and then i decided that i thought i would look good with black hair...i dont know what the hell i was thinking....so iu dyed it black...

worst mistake of my life.....so i put tons of color stripper in my hair....and all it did was turn my hair orange.

so i went to the hair stylist and she said she didnt want to put bleach in my hair and ruin it any more....so she dyed it like red!

like 2 motnhs later i came back and she cut it all off...like to my shoulders and dyed it brown.

3 motnhs later she finally died it back to blonde....but not my natural blonde color.....

i am so afraid to die my hair to my natural color because it is sooooooo dry......

i looked into vutting it off and just getting hair extentions till my hair grows back but it is sooo expensive!!!

what to doooo?

What to do about my color damaged hair?

that kinda happened to me but not that bad ...just dont mess with it alot try to keep as much heat off of it as possible get shampoos and conditioners expecially for dry hair ..get ur ends cut every 6 weeks and keep it hydrated ..expecially since its winter time ..thats when ur hair is at its dryest!

What to do about my color damaged hair?

I wouldn't color it back to your natural color if the stylist made it brown....it will turn it shades of orange and yellow. esp if you use a store brand which isn't strong enough to do correctly. I would leave it the way it is, but keep getting your 4-6 week trims to get rid of it. The color it was dyed now will fade over washing/time and not look so OUT THERE with the blonde roots.

What to do about my color damaged hair?

I'd wait a while until it grows back a little more and get a REALLY good deep conditioner to use like twice a week with a regular moisturizing conditioner to use everyday. Maybe on the weekend or something give your hair a break, because washing it everday can strip out the oil too, which is needed for your dry hair.

If you're desperate to make it the right color blonde, try getting lowlights or highlights [lighter or darker than the shade you have now, but still blonde.] This won't strip your hair as much as getting all of it died, because it just highlights throughout your hair, not all of it. You can even ask for your hairstylist just to do the top section of your hair [the part that shows.] Honestly though, what it comes down to is time.

Hope this helps :] Try bringin in a picture next time to your stylist so she knows the exact cut/color you want! And, the extra money is worth it to pay a stylist when you want your hair similar to the way it was before.

Pics of Maddie Fitzpatrick's hair in season one?

I was thinking of getting my hair cut like Maddie's from the Suite Life of Zack and Codi. I saw an episode today (It was where Codi was trying to get a week in Washington) from season one, I think, and I loved her hair!!

I think those are good, but I need to choose two to print and show to the person who I'll have cut my hair. Which two would show what I want best? Or do any of you have better pictures?

And when I take pictures to a stylist they usually just do what they want with my bangs! By looking at the pics I can tell that her bangs start at a certain point. What do I say to the person who is cutting my hair to make sure she cuts my bangs right? THEY NEVER SEEM TO GIVE ME ENOUGH BANGS!

Pics of Maddie Fitzpatrick's hair in season one?

are good pics ask for enough bangs too give it a solid look

tell them you want it layered and a frame around your face

thats the hair style she has

i bet you'll look cute

sorry but i hate her hair like that back then it looks better longer with the curls

How can I get my hair to look like Q-Tip?

I'm a guy and I really don't like my hair cut short. But I do have it cut because I don't know what to do with my hair. I don't like just having a regular afro. I can't think of anyone else who has the style of hair I want. I want to get it like Q-Tip's hair. How it was like frizzy or sometimes the little twists in his hair. I would prefer this style in this picture

http://www.concreteloop.com/images/2006/...

This type of hair like john legend

http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B00...

What can I do to get my hair like in the first pic? I hope I don't have to go to a stylist or something but I probably would go if needed.

How can I get my hair to look like Q-Tip?

You are going to have to go to stylist babe. John legend looks like he might have a texturizer. Once you go to a stylist, they can show you how to do the style and you can do it from home until you need a touchup.

Help! my hair color is so weird!?

i have naturally dishwater blonde hair but I've been coloring it a long time--Before I tried to highlight it and lowlight it, I had sort of a strawberry-ish golden blonde color from when this hair stylist tried to lighten it from being red. I did the highlighting but I ended up putting way too much in my hair, and I basically bleached a lot of it--it looked really yellowy and white. I then added a lot of lowlights to cut the bleachy-ness. It came with a toner for the lowlights, and my hair looked fine until i started drying it. then it just looked gray-ish ash blonde and i could barely see any of the light blonde from before. I added more highlighting stuff to it and now it just looks pink-ish and weird. Help! I have no money so what can i do for a quick fix--i need someone knowledgable about hair dye.

Help! my hair color is so weird!?

you gonna need to dye it all. if you cant afford to go to a salon, go to the drug store and buy a semi-perm. dye dark enough to cover what you messed up. it will slowy fade out and buy you time until you can see a hairdresser without damaging it further

Help! my hair color is so weird!?

Ehhhhh....of course! screw up your hair again....it's a temporary solution.

Your hair will never look nice.

It will never be beautiful again.......you will keep neurotically messing with it.

I've seen it a million times! Report It

Help! my hair color is so weird!?

All I have to say is that youve trashed your hair

dye it brown so it looks normal.

let your hair grow out

then cut the brown of

start all over

Help! my hair color is so weird!?

Calm down and stop coloring your hair for a while, at least until you can see an inch or two of your roots. Then pick a color that matches your natural color. Once you dye it back to your natural color, STOP dying it for at least a year for your hair to recover.

Help! my hair color is so weird!?

You are going to have to get it a little darker to cover this mess.

DON'T DO IT YOURSELF!

You have to see a professional- a reputable one that knows what she is doing!

She is the only one who can assess the damages you have made- find a tone to counteract the mess- and CUSTOMIZE a color using special developers with little to NO PEROXIDE.

Listen- it sounds bad- don't make it worse..

Pull it up in a bun or wear a hat until you can get help. You will really regret it when you have a mess of fried, discolored fuzz.

How to get rid of TERRIBLE Hair Tangles?

How do I get rid of two really bad tangles in my long hair (they look like dreads) without cutting them off? Are there any shampoos in particular. Would a hair stylist be able to fix them? Anything?

How to get rid of TERRIBLE Hair Tangles?

get in the shower and condition it ...not shampoo....and condtion and condition and condition and it will detangle......it might take awhile though...

How to get rid of TERRIBLE Hair Tangles?

there are hair detanglers that you put in your hair after shampooing. Check at your nearest pharmacy, walmart, or target for the detanglers. The detanglers would be where the shampoos are. Good Luck!

How to get rid of TERRIBLE Hair Tangles?

Some people spend a lot of time trying to create dreads. lol.

If you really don't like them, you could always shave your head. I like Sin鑼卆d when she was bald.

How to get rid of TERRIBLE Hair Tangles?

I was bed ridden for a month after back surgery and my hair turned into a rats nest! And its is long. (I had braided it but for some stupid reason, I took them out!) I used Thermasilk, which is now Sunsilk, leave in spray conditioner. I started at the bottom of the tangle and sprayed and gently combed until it was all out. It took some time but it worked. You might also rub some conditioner into the tangle and gently comb. Always starting at the bottom.

Good luck. You don't have to shave your head! Just be patient and gentle with the combing and you'll get it. And use those products!

I hope this helps.

This type of hair like john legend

What can I do to get my hair like in the first pic? I hope I don't have to go to a stylist or something but I probably would go if needed.

How can I get my hair to look like Q-Tip?

You are going to have to go to stylist babe. John legend looks like he might have a texturizer. Once you go to a stylist, they can show you how to do the style and you can do it from home until you need a touchup.

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

I have a squareish-ovalish shaped head and thick brown hair.

I already have side bangs.

Would this hair style look good on me?

http://www.paramorefans.com/photos/displ...

How can I get it cut?

When I go to the salon, what should I tell the hair stylist?

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

If you already have sidebangs, I don't think it will be dramatically different. So don't worry, it should look fine. Unless you want to dye your hair that color, in which case I suggest photoshopping that hair style/color onto a picture of yourself so you can get an idea of how it'll look.

You can get your hair cut like that at any location. Just print the picture and take it with you.

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

Just print and bring the picture to the salon, and be sure that an experienced hair dresser is cutting your hair! %26gt;.%26lt;

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

i think u would look great and just print out the picture and show the stylist he/she should know what to do.

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

When you go to the Salon, bring a bring of that hair style and tell her that you want that hair style.. i think it would look pretty good on you

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

If your hair is wavy, the bangs might not work unless you straighten your hair.

It would take a little work, and I lot of straghtening to keep that hair looking good. %26amp;%26amp; Relize that the girl in the picture has thin, probably easily straightenable hair. If you feel you want to do that go for it. When you go to the salon bring a picture of what you want done.

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

yea sure but jus make sure thattha color matches ur face or it probably wont be wut you want

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

I could use a picture of you, but I think that the second one will look better and it's easier to maintain. Just print the image or take a picture of the screen and show it to the hair stylist - it's the only way you make sure he knows exactly what to do and he'll have no excuse =)

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

well i guess yeah u will......... actually it depends upon wat kind of person r u

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

ugh! i hate that band!! anyways... i think as you have a that kind of face shape you should be able to wear it!

Would I look good with this kind of hair style?

no definitely not!! i have thick hair and i got my hair cut like that and it turned out looking really bad! if you do get it cut like that then get your hair thinned by cutting off the bottom layer or asking the hair cutter!!

How would pink tips look in my blonde hair?

My hair is light blonde and very long (about to the middle of my back). I just got done with my first year of high school, and just for the summer I wanted to dye just the tips of my hair hot hot pink. I would only dye about an inch or an inch and a half on the tips. I, personally, think it would look cool. And if I end up not liking it, I can always cut just the ends off. My mom is a hair stylist and said she would help, but I was wondering which techniques work the best, and what brands of hair dye I should use. I've been looking into Manic Panic. Any suggestions?

How would pink tips look in my blonde hair?

It would look really cool, but you might get tired of it after a while. i recommend using a temporary dye that washes out after a few shampoos so you can "Test the waters" so to speak and see if you really want to do it. Underground color lasts up to 40 washes. That's a little over the month that you can test it out. Good luck!

That will be very cool, go for it, but use a temporary dye, if you don't like it you didn't do too much damage to your hair,

Should I sue my Great Clips ?

I was sitting in the chair and was at the halfway point in the hair cut when the hair stylist asked me to please leave. Being the curious fellow I am I said,"huh"? she said to please leave because she has never in her life seen such a massive infestation of head lice. I told her to finish my hair and I would leave. She said no so I chased her with fists full of my own head lice and now we are twins. The nice police officer escorted me out. should I sue because she sent me out into public to be humiliated? And where can I find a reliable cobbler to tend to my sneekers?

Should I sue my Great Clips ?

If you had the worse case of lice she had ever seen I bet you have really nasty, dirty hair. Every single person I've seen w/ bad lice have had dirty, stinky, gross hair. I have you pictured one of those gross people who wash their hair once or twice a week. I bet you are also one of those nasties who don't even shampoo your hair before getting a cut. Probably don't even tip a hairstylist after they have to gag doing your nasty hair, they probably all run when they see you coming.

You should be sued for throwing your nasty hair at her, I probably would have socked you right in the mouth.

I am a hairstylist and I get extremely pissed when I get head lice infected people in my chair, because you can't tell me they don't know they have it, I hear it itches like heck. I'm sure you knew you had it, but you don't care if you go into a salon and pass it on to others. I hate it when I find out that a person has lice and than I have to sit and worry that it may be on my clothes and I could get it or take it home to my kids. Very selfish of people thinking we stylist should have to work on buggy hair.

Maybe her humiliating you will teach you a good lesson about going into a salon w/ a nasty head.

Did you want your hair cut prior to treating it so it would be easier to treat? I'm sure it was, that's why most people want a cut before treating so their job is easier and they don't care who they infect.

Actually I think she had every right throw you out of her chair and if anything she probably has more of a chance suing you for giving her lice than you have a chance at suing Great Clips. Look, the cops threw you out!!!!!

Should I sue my Great Clips ?

G'sus you are in dire need of professional help

Should I sue my Great Clips ?

Get a life.

Should I sue my Great Clips ?

On a serious note try to get rid of the lice, then go to a different salon.

Should I sue my Great Clips ?

I think she should sue you.

Should I sue my Great Clips ?

what a waste of your points, that was incredably lame.

Should I sue my Great Clips ?

Please don't risk passing them on to others. Get treated and THEN get a haircut.

She may not have handled the situation tactfully, or perhaps that is how she was trained to deal with it. I can only hope that she did so discretely. Nevertheless, her first duty is to keep the shop and other customers louse free, and second to treat you with dignity. Your reaction did not merit whatever respect she gave you.

Shame on you for bringing your lice to a public place like that. I'm afraid you got what you deserved.

*Attention:Hair Stylists* Guy with thick/curly-wavy hair wants some advice on haircut?

I have shoulder length curly wavy hair - it is manageable when brushed back at the top but at the back it is really thick and curly and after I use hair product it becomes poofy, unmanageable and like just too much - any advice for what I should tell my hairstylist to do, cut tips? styles? should the hair at the back be cut shorter to make it less dense and more free flowing? step by step advice would be helpful or even a good product suggestion- Thanks

*Attention:Hair Stylists* Guy with thick/curly-wavy hair wants some advice on haircut?

my advice to you is to have your hair thinned out by a professional then buy only professional products to tame your hair out ( american crew or redkin for men). one of my clients has very thick curly hair and about once a month i put a redkin relaxer on him. this doesn't completley get rid of all his curls, but it sure makes his hair more managable for the both of us to work with !

*Attention:Hair Stylists* Guy with thick/curly-wavy hair wants some advice on haircut?

I like men with short hair and a messy style.

*Attention:Hair Stylists* Guy with thick/curly-wavy hair wants some advice on haircut?

my hair is (was) exactly the same! i ended up cutting it short, and now i don't have a problem. but now i want to let it grow again, but it is such a pain, because it is the beginning when it is most difficult to manage. do you ever straighten it? my wife would do it with a flat iron, and it would look awesome.

*Attention:Hair Stylists* Guy with thick/curly-wavy hair wants some advice on haircut?

hi

you'd either need to treat it and keep it sleek and wavy or alternatively shave it and go cropped right into the face xxx

Girls please help me and my hair!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok, first of all my hair is like short, it's above my shoulders, well when I got it cut and everything, and I got it straightened , the hair stylist made it so sleek and straight that my hair actual moved from side to side, yesturday I washed and and waited till it was dry and then I straightened it and my hair is really dry, and it's stiff, and it doesn't move from side to side, and it lacks shine and it;s dull so today I had to put my jacket hoodie over it, please give me tips and help me ! thanks!

good luck

Girls please help me and my hair!!!!!!!!!!?

Try any brand of hot oil (VO5 is what I use) It is exellent for eliminating frizz and making hair more shiny. All you do is stick the tube in a cup of hot water before you use it to let it heat up a bit. The box will tell you to put it on before you shampoo. I use it after shampoo, but before conditioner, and leave it on longer than the box says (which will tell you to wash it off in less than a minute, which sounds silly to me since my hair is so darn dry to begin with!). Anyways, try it, it's cheap and works wonders!

Did hair dresser over charge me?

Today I got a perm from a place in a mall. Their sign said 'perms $65 and up.' I asked how much a perm for me would cost, and was told probably $65 as my hair isn't too long, about mid collar length.

The stylist gives me the perm, then asks if I want any cut off. I tell her yes, and tell her how much to take off.

Afterwards I go up to the counter to pay, and am shocked when I'm told the charge is $95!!! I ask why, if the sign says perms are $65, I'm being charged $95, and am told 'the perm was $65, the haircut was $30.

I've gotten perms about twice a year for the past 15 or so years, and every time they cut some off, and never ever have I been charged extra for a hair cut. Have a just been fortunate all these years?

My money's kinda tight right now, and I was happy to give myself a treat via the perm. But I thought I'd only be paying $65 + $15 for tip, but instead I paid the $95 and gave a $10 tip. I was kinda upset when I left.

What's been your experience? Thanks

Did hair dresser over charge me?

Some salons do this - perm = 1 service %26amp; the hair cut = a 2nd service. I've had a similar experience %26amp; just never returned to that salon.

The best way to avoid such situations is to ask if there is any extra charge. I think that most people are shy about asking or assume that if the stylist offered then it's included. I also wonder if stylists are under pressure to increase their revenue %26amp; take advantage of this.

BTW, you may want to consider going to training nights or modelling nights at upscale salons. Services are offered to clients at a nominal fee or for free. Such events allow junior stylists hone their skills under the supervision of senior staff or allow them to demonstrate new techniques.

Did hair dresser over charge me?

sounds right to me. 65 is the perm price- it obviously did not include the cut. you need a suga daddy

Did hair dresser over charge me?

Wow...any salon I've worked in included the haircut with the perm.

She should have stated the whole price before the service. Most professionals would. It's sneaky and wrong, seeing as you asked the price of the perm. She should have told you the price, and then added that a cut would be extra.

Next time make sure to ask if a cut is included in the price.

Did hair dresser over charge me?

I am an ex hairdresser. Yes i think you were over charged. In my past experience the cut was included in the perm charge. The only thing that would let the salon that over charged you off, would be if they had a separate price for the cut under the perm price. I always get them to right down my quotes and explain anything that may be extra. Sorry about your bad luck, just think, Karma! It will come back to them big time!

Did hair dresser over charge me?

I always thauth that the air cut was included with the perm. In my knowledge it would be $65.00 unless otherwise said on the wall somewhere air cut extra..Secondly if you say that your money is tight I would not give a $10.00 tips. Do you know of First Choice Haircutters, you dont need appointment for hair cut and it is only $10.00 but you do need an appointment for perms....I dont go to salon it is too expensive and you get the same service with pros at First Choice,,it is very popular here in Canada.

Does it seem strange to have your haircut but not talk to the stylist?

Recently I have been getting my hair cut at places with poor communicators as stylists. I found it strange to be with someone so close by who was not talking to me. My attempts at small talk were rebuffed. How do you feel about small talk while getting your hair cut?

Does it seem strange to have your haircut but not talk to the stylist?

I am a hairdresser, and I have to tell you its a distraction to carry on a conversation with a client an to cut a person's hair. I know if your not a hairdresser you really have no idea what I'm talking about . Cutting hair and styling hair takes concentration. There are many thoughts that are in our heads while were working. Trust me, I find it very hard to do a proper job with someones hair and talking about other things at the same time.

We were also taught in school to not talk to the customers while doing their hair because of this. This does not mean not to greet them and be nice to them. I myself have had my haircut by a hairdresser that was bust talking to other customers and other hairstylists and I walked out of there with the worst haircuts because of that, so I know not to talk to them,.. Do you want a conversation or do you want your hair done properly?

Does it seem strange to have your haircut but not talk to the stylist?

yeah i suppose it is weird having your haircut and not speaking to the hairdresser, why don't you try speaking about their family, life and compliment them quite abit, that might bring up a smile :)

x sophiyar x

Does it seem strange to have your haircut but not talk to the stylist?

I work at a salon and the whole idea of getting your haircut is the experience! When you arrive you want to be greeted and treated special, you want to have a conversation and be offered a coffee. And when your at the basin you want a nice head massage. And most of all you need to feel comfortable with your stylist! This includes a friendly chat! I enjoy some small talk whilst i'm getting my haircut it helps to break the ice and become friends! I think its rude to be rebuffed when offering some small talk!

Does it seem strange to have your haircut but not talk to the stylist?

I am a hairdresser also and it's rude for the stylist not to talk to you. I have had my hair cut by others and it makes me feel uncomfortable to be in a chair and not get acknowledged. I always make people in my chair feel welcomed and small talk is better than not talking at all. If you can't talk and cut hair, then they have no business cutting hair in a salon that wants growth. If your stylist don't talk to you than they probably don't feel a connection with you. If you try talking then get ignored than I'd find another place to get my hair cut.

Does it seem strange to have your haircut but not talk to the stylist?

I know how you feel. It is so awkward sitting there and the stylist is not talking to you.

I trained as a hairdresser when I left college although decided not to take the career on, but one of the things we were told is that it is really important to be able to make small talk with the clients to make them feel comfortable. Imagine sitting there for three hours while you get colour, foils, and a trim and blowdry, all in silence as they stylist doesnt want to talk?! That would be awful

To be a good hairdresser, you need to be a good stylist and also have good people skills, your stylist clearly doesn't have the people skills, so I imagine he or she doesn't have a very big clientele.

I suggest you ask for a different stylist next time you get your hair done =]

Does it seem strange to have your haircut but not talk to the stylist?

I think small talk is unnecessary. I prefer them to just do their job without much distraction. Maybe thats what they want too. And yes it's pretty strange, but its better to walk out the saloon with a nice hair cut than a good conversation.
