i have straight hair. how can i explain to my hair stylist how to do my perm and cut? What products can I use once this is done?

hiii! i would recommend a "wave perm"....my hair is extremely straight and i wanted my hair like Jennifer Aniston, but it turned out like Shakira!
there is so much body, and it only took 2 hours to do the actual "wave"...same as the 80's perms, except the stylist uses bigger rollers and less rollers........hope this helps:P
