What is a photographic memory?

I went to get a haircut. While the hair stylist was cutting my hair, she said, "I remember you from 2nd grade because you used to ride on the same bus as me to signal hill." I was in 2nd grade 17years ago. I remember all of my friends from 2nd grade and her name/appearance did not ring any bells. How did she remember me from so long ago? I did not associate myself with her.

What is a photographic memory?

Photographic memory is extremely rare. It's being able to recall every detail of every event and every word from every conservation you've ever had. Your brain stores all information ever taken in, but few have the ability to recall much of it. You can have systematic photographic memory. That is to also recall things of specific events, leaving out no detail. It's strange you've ask about that because I've had specific photographic recall about a woman I've known for eight years...I can recall everything she's ever said, where I was when I heard it, what time of day and what day it was. If it was a time when we were with each other I know what she was waring, where we were, what time she said it and the date, what the weather was like, you name it...She thinks it's the most amazing thing she's ever heard about.....What's more amazing it only applies to things specific to her.....I can't recall names of all my classmates in grammar school, old math problems, etc....Oh how I wish I could. I can remember some events in every detail that had to do with a traumatic event. Such as a friend of mine drownding over 25 years ago, but that's because I was the one who went in to try to save him....normal events I'm no better then the next person at remembering things. But for Sara....I just can't explain that......in times past she's entertained her friends with my memory of things about her. They're all amazed as well, but sometimes it makes me sound like a freak, because it only deals with her. Early on some of her friends told her I was a stalker because I knew some much about her that they didn't know. Once things like that appear in conservation it's no longer any fun....Of course that wasn't the case. We're not as close as we once were. The last time I heard from her was three tex messages she sent over two months ago..All three filled the 160 character limit on the screen and it's almost scary that I can remember every word and the time and date that appeared at the end of the message.

I've tried applying it to other items, but I just can't do it...it doesn't work.......I've been checked by memory experts and they all agree its photographic specific recall. For me its not a true photographic memory. And I might just be glad it isn't.

Strange story, but absolutely true.

What is a photographic memory?

You see something and you remember it as if you were looking at a picture.

What is a photographic memory?

a memory that can recall the slightest detail of any scene or thing they have witnessed as though they are still looking at it.

What is a photographic memory?

exact reproduction of an happening in past to the minutest details of all those were present at that time. Her remembring you is cause you may not have changed much in your appearence and or have some thing that made her remeber you for that long whereas since she must havebeen elder to you and not having anything to do with you or your school group may a regular traveller on the same route and time has remembered you

Hair products?

I recently stepped away from my normal boring hairstyle and got my hair cut and angled. I loved the look when I came out of the salon. I went and bought a straightening iron to try and master the look I was given, but it is missing something. I remember the stylist using a product with the straightener, but I didn't have my glasses on and I couldn't see what it was. I know it was in a pump bottle and she sprayed it in my hair just before she used the straightener. What products would be safe to use with a straightener? Thanks in advance.

Hair products?

maybe it was straightener with heat protection, usually i use Bed Head Tigi Control Freak Extra Straight, but if u still feel curious bout wat the hairstylist did on ur hair, just come by n ask him,he'll be glad to tell u..

Hair products?

Probley did someone help you, or this hairdresser must of put some other product in not just doing what you though she was doing.

Hair products?

it's probally heat protection spray %26amp; a shine spray. why dont you just ask the person who did your hair? they'll probally sell it to you, duh!

Hair products?

Call your hairstylist and ask her for her recommendations, she will tell you what she used, this is a very normal thing to do.

Hair products?

if your hair is curly she proably put some in your hair to relax your hair folicals so your hair would be nice straight no frizz

Hair styles?

last time i went to get my hair cut i brought in a pic of her, because i like her bangs. the guy who did it told me something about it needing tons of spray and gel to stay that way, and ended up giving me some bangs that werent at all what i wanted, they were thin, started almost at a center part, to make it worse he held them back and hairsprayed them that way. he made me look so 80's it was ridiculous. i want to know what to SAY to a stylist to get them to do it the way i want.

also, if you know any other styles that would look good on me, i want to keep my hair long though.

this is me: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o278/...

Hair styles?

first of all, your stylist is an idiot.

it does not take tons of gel and such to make them stay that way. just ask them to take your part, from the middle to the side, and create 'side' bands by layers parts of your hair at the front. most of that look anyways is just a style. rather than the cut itself.

if you have never had side bangs, it may take a little bit of time, to train your roots to cooperate and stay. but they will naturally come over themselves.

when i first did mine years ago, i just clipped them to the side when i slept. you can also blow dry them into the direction.

to sum it up, get them to make your part at whatever side you would like your bangs to come from, say you want side bangs, and to make them choppy, but whispy so they look exactly like they do in the picture.

the rest is just styling

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists. how much do you usually tip for getting hair colored and hi-lited or lo-lited? At one visit I got mine %26amp; my daughter`s done and it took about 2 or 3 hours, no cut, it cost about $170. What do you think a good tip would have been? Also, I am having to get it redone because it just didnt turn out like it was supposed to, would you tip again? How much? Please help solve this discussion I'm having with a friend. Thanks!

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

You tip just like you would a waiter...10% for poor or decent service, up to 20% for great service. If one stylist did both of your hair, then you need to tip her about $20. If it didn't take well, then only tip her $5 or so the next time since you've already tipped her for the service once. If you didn't tip her at all the first time, give her a good $15 or $20 tip because she's likely not going to charge you for the re-dye and that dye is expensive and comes out of her pocket.

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

for a hair cut i tip $10, for color, highlights, touch ups, etc. i tip $20. i tip $5 to the shampoo girl

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

I usually give about ten bucks. If the service wasnt great Ill give 6 at the least.

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

$5-10 tip.If you have to go back no. Its there fault they didnt listen to what you wanted.

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

Well it depends where you got it done and how nice it is! Hope I helped!!!

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

I would tip anywhere from 20-50 for that at an exclusive salon. When you get it redone, you should offer a tip. If they are professional at all, they will not accept it.

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

if i didnt like it, for that cost i would have proboably just tipped like 5 dollars.

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

i think $10 is the amount to tip and if u go again then $10 or $15!!!!! hope i could help!!!!

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

Wow, you must have had alot of color! I would tip similar to how you would dining out.

If you have to get it fixed, you dont tip. They are fixing what they did. If you feel they went out of their way, then by all means tip.

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

It depends how much you tipped the first time. If you tipped 20% the first time I wouldn't tip again. You probably might not want to go back there either. If you called to let them know you were upset then i would maybe tip like 5% , that is if she is really apologetic and geniunely wants to correct the problem.

I have 2 questions about tipping hair stylists.?

At least 20 you were there getting your hair and your daughters done for 3 hours straight that's alot of on her feet work for the stylist Are you sure it was done incorrectly or were you just unclear as to how you wanted it? It sometimes is not the stylists fault but if it was the stylists fault then i would definitely not tip and I would not go back to the same stylist for a repair. But be sure to call the salon soon most salons don't do repairs after more than a week. Good Luck to you

I have long curly hair and im ready for a change. help.?

My hair is a little past my shoulders and its very curly. and i want to go for a cut thats a little past my ears and i want my bangs to go across my forehead, but with a little curve to the end. and. idk if its gonna look good seems how my hair is curly.

what should i tell my hair stylist to do to my hair.

I have long curly hair and im ready for a change. help.?

I am a professional hairstylist. Why don't you post a picture of yourself and I can tell you more. It's hard to tell someone without first seeing how curly your hair is and what kind of texture you have.

~Well, since I don't have a picture, I'll give you some suggestions from experience. My brother and I both have very curly hair. My hair is long, when it is wet, it stretches out past my bra strap but when it dries, it shrinks up to my shoulders. On rainy or humid days, it can shrink up close to my and I have a really cute chin length bob! My brother's hair is a coarser texture than mine and I keep his cut really short. I use clippers and a # 2 and # 3 gaurd on the sides and I cut the top about 3/4 to 1 inch long. If his hair gets any length on it, it really bothers him.

I suggest that since you have curly hair, tell the stylist to cut your hair while it is dry to make sure it is the length that y ou want it to be. If it is wet, your curly hair will shrink and could be way too short when it dries. The style which are are describing can still look good even with your hair being curly. Just make sure it doesn't get cut too short. Show your stylist some pictures of the style you want in some books that I'm sure she has in her salon. When you get your hair cut, you'll need some kind of product to keep your hair from "poofing". I use and recommend Iso Bouncy Cream. The stuff is awesome for curly hair, you can get it from a salon or from that store they have in several malls, Trade Secrets. When you get the cut you want, don't try to straigten your hair, just go with the flow and let your hair do what it wants to do. I have found that it is much easier than fighting constantly to get your hair to do what it doesn't want to do. I've learned that from finally letting my hair go natural after trying to flat iron it every morning and then when it rained, all that hard work went down the drain as the wetness and humidity made my hair curl back up!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me and I will try my best to help you out.~

I have long curly hair and im ready for a change. help.?

are you a girl or guy?

I have long curly hair and im ready for a change. help.?

If you don't like it curly ask the stylist to straighten it for you, either way you might wanna get that loose hair tied back with some kind of band and maybe slick it back.

I need to fix my hair, i did a Redken show...?

So i just did a show for Redken 5th avenue, and they wanted my hair to be red.

First they had to use pre-art on it, then they dyed it, but they didnt like the color, so they lightened it [i think with bleach], and then filled it and then dyed it again.

This was all in just 1 and a half days.

The hair closest to my scalp is a nice red color but then as it gets closer to my ends, it gets lighter.

My question is, when they lightened my hair, it was very orangey blonde at the ends of my hair,

Red fades the fastest, so i am very worried that if i wash it, it is going to turn the color it was after they bleached it.

Will it turn that color?

I have an appointment this saturday with a very good stylist, but i wont leave the house until then if it fades into that bleachy color.

Also they DESTROYED my hair! Its sooo frizzy and hard to manage now. I need to get some hair cut off but i want to keep as much length as possible, what could i do?

I need to fix my hair, i did a Redken show...?

if you ever go to a hair show you will know that some of the stage work they do is pretty out there. so you kind of signed up for that one. but your hair should not fade that fast and go all the way back to that orange blonde especially if they filled the hair prior to color the second go round. your stylist will be able to help you in a few days but until then use color extend by redken of course because it is formulated to hold their color i the hair.

also do some coditioning treatments like extreme deep fuel by redken and i highly recommend anti snap which is a protein which will help repair what has been taken out of your hair.

I need to fix my hair, i did a Redken show...?

Wow! I think they should have to pay to get your hair fixed. you will need conditioning treatments

I need to fix my hair, i did a Redken show...?

Say no the next time they ask you to be in a show. They don't care what they do to your hair and don't fix it after they fry it and dye it.

How can I get long hair like this?

I've been growing my hair out for a few months, and I know I need to grow it a bit longer, but when it is ready, how can I get my hair styled like this?

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3171/...

What do I tell the hair stylist?

Also, what kind of holding gels will I need? Is something like this easy to style?

Shoulder length, straight, no frizz, clean cut, not puffy. Needs to look good in a suit for work everyday. Thanks for any comments!

How can I get long hair like this?

im a guy and want that stayle my hairs about down to my mouth pretty much that length bring that photo to a proffessional stylist/hairdresser and they will shows you all you need to know i.e gel brush etc

How can I get long hair like this?

first of all, that is really ugly.

but if you seriously want to look that way then all you need to do is get some light holding wax to run through damp hair.

then comb it all back and let it dry.

then ruffle it a little bit so it doesn't look crispy or hard, and you should be good to go.

How can I get long hair like this?

to be quite honest, im not sure how you would get it styled like that. but good decision to grow your hair out. i also decided to do that about 2 and a half years ago and its still growing to this day. i've never really had my hair styled, so i couldn't tell you anything about that, but i can tell that if you wash and brush it EVERYDAY then you should be all set. i don't put gel, hair spray or anything else in my hair and it still looks pretty good. i would assume, however, that if you absolutely wanted your hair to look just like that, then you could take that picture you got to the hair salon/place and then can do their best to help you, and that includes telling you what to put and what not to put in. i hope my information has been helpful, and best of luck in your hair growing adventures.

How can I get long hair like this?

dont get hair like that...

not very nice style...

How can I get long hair like this?

Well, there are many many pills. I know this shampoo and conditioner that can grow your hair within a week. It's called

Mane%26amp;Tail. I know it sounds like a horse shampoo it is but it's used for humans to it doesn't damage your hair trust me!!
